M&I Healthcare is a niche product designed specifically for healthcare industry professionals. Its identity has a distinct look and feel from the M&I Core identity, while still retaining the core M&I logo to ensure brand connection.

To reflect its sector-specific positioning, M&I Healthcare employs:

  • A dedicated colour palette tailored for the healthcare industry
  • A serif font for headlines, differentiating its typographic voice from the core brand
  • Unique applications of gradients and brand shapes to create a more specialised and professional aesthetic

This balance ensures that M&I Healthcare stands apart in its industry context while remaining recognisably part of the M&I brand family.

M&I Healthcare logo

The M&I Healthcare logotype lockup is a clear example of the branded house model. It features the core M&I logo with Healthcare positioned alongside it, reinforcing that this is a product of M&I.
There are two approved versions of the logo:

  • One for placement on light backgrounds
  • One for placement on dark backgrounds

This lockup must be used consistently across all materials related to the Healthcare sub-brand to ensure clarity, cohesion, and a strong connection to the master brand.

  • Slate and Dew – designated as the exclusive background colours, forming the foundation of the Healthcare identity.
  • Accent colours – used sparingly for highlights, details, and moments of emphasis to add vibrancy while maintaining a professional tone.
  • Mellow – a tertiary colour, applied only in subtle ways. It should never be used for large blocks or backgrounds, but instead for emphasising information or delineating lines.

M&I Healthcare employs a combination of typefaces to create a balance between differentiation and brand consistency.

  • Merriweather (serif): Used for headlines, adding a sense of authority, professionalism, and distinction appropriate for the healthcare industry.
  • Circular (sans-serif): Used for body copy and smaller headings, maintaining clarity and readability while reinforcing the visual connection to the M&I Core identity.


The addition of a serif font in headlines allows Healthcare to establish its own character within the portfolio, while the continued use of Circular ensures it remains recognisably part of the M&I family.

Typography hierachy

Our typography system is designed to bring clarity, consistency, and rhythm to all M&I communications. Each level of the hierarchy plays a specific role – from bold, expressive headlines that capture attention, to functional subheadings that provide structure, to body copy that delivers our messages with precision and ease. By following this system, we create content that is both visually harmonious and effortless to navigate, guiding readers through every interaction with the M&I brand.

Note: The font sizes listed below are based on our web copy standards. These values should be treated as a guide rather than absolute rules. Sizes may need to be adapted depending on the application or medium. When adjusting, maintain proportional relationships by following a typographic scale based on the Golden Ratio (≈1.618) to preserve consistency and hierarchy across headlines, statements, and body copy.
