Our Community Code of Conduct

Richard Barnes

CEO, Worldwide Events

“To us, it means bringing together different people, perspectives, ideas, and ways of thinking — because innovation thrives when every voice has a place at the table. Diversity isn’t just something we value; it’s integral to how we create meaningful connections and shape the future of the global events community.

Thank you for helping us make every event a space where everyone feels welcome and inspired to contribute.”

At Worldwide Events, we see ourselves as more than an organisation — we are a community. Together, we share a responsibility to create a safe, inspiring, and uplifting environment for everyone who takes part in our experiences.

We believe that every event should be a 100% positive experience from beginning to end — for attendees, buyers, exhibitors, media, and staff alike. We celebrate the diversity that enriches our industry and are united by a commitment to respect, kindness, and professionalism in all interactions.

As an active force for good in our industry, we each play a role in shaping the experience of those around us. By taking part in our events, you agree to uphold the values of respect, inclusion, and integrity — treating every individual with dignity, regardless of their gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other aspect of who they are or where they come from.

We Do Not Tolerate

  • Verbal comments or conduct suggesting superiority based on gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion
  • Deliberate intimidation, aggression or harassment of any kind
  • Sustained disruption of talks, meetings, or social events
  • Unsolicited physical contact or inappropriate behaviour
  • The promotion or encouragement of any of the above actions with your peers

Anyone engaging in such behaviour may be asked to leave the event and could be refused entry to future Worldwide Events experiences, at the sole discretion of the organisers.

Reporting Concerns and Welfare Issues

If you experience or witness any form of harassment, or if you are concerned about the welfare of another participant, we encourage you to report it to our Event Team. Reports can be made via email or by texting the Emergency Health and Safety line (email and number will be communicated ahead of each event) provided in the pre-event communications.
